Congratulations to Beth Raff, winner of a copy of the gorgeous Girl Who Drank the Moon!
Beth Raff hit the nail on the head. This genre covers so many issues and they seem to really get to the kids that read them. For instance my son has just started middle school and bullies are everywhere. I got him John Hope’s book Silencing Sharks and he is reading it with such intention. SO great to see him “Getting it”!
I love middle grade because each book has an accessible story with important meaning behind it.
I love MG books because it makes me feel like a kid again.
I love middle grade books because they tackle both big and small problems at a level that anyone can understand and relate to! So many talented authors writing for MG, too.
I love the sense of hope and optimism!
